TRAINING YOUR HORSE
Winners have been produced and trained on the farm for several decades by several generations of Fowlers. There has always been particular success with fillies. The training side of things has expanded with Lorna over the last few years and there has been success with the likes of Colonel Mustard and Politesse. There are some exciting young horses coming through the ranks and of course we are always open for business. We are very lucky to have old turf gallops as well as a three furlong round sand gallop.
PRE TRAINING
With over 400 acres of high quality grass canters and gallops, a circular jumping lane, schooling ground, sand canter and a several miles of private lanes, Rahinston has the perfect idyllic surroundings to cater for horses of all ages. These facilities are ideal for building up fitness levels, focusing on strengthening each animals’ individual weakness’s with the end result being a happy, strong and fit racehorse for the racetrack.
BREAKING IN
Rahinston has excellent facilities for the breaking-in and handling of young horses. There are two lunge rings, covered horse walker, loose school, three furlong sand canter and acres of grassland which all help to give horses the perfect start to their ridden life. The experienced team focus on individual attention to suit particular characteristics, ensuring the correct outcome is achieved.
